Enhancing the Fusion Method to Fusion_B offers a detailed and comprehensive study of the software engineering method Fusion, which has been successful used to design software over the past fifteen years. Though well established, the term software engineering method requires further elucidation. It refers to methods used for software production - in other words: the industrial software development process. It has since been attempted to integrate new ideas on the structuring of software and the software development process into Fusion resulting from a so-called paradigm change in research: the object-oriented view of the software product and process, the emergence of new object-oriented specification languages and the elaboration of the eminently important field of requirements engineering, to mention just a few. The book looks at the method's deficiencies and considers ways of eliminating them through modification and extension. It aims to show the feasibility of integrating parts of requirements engineering and formal specification into Fusion_B.
